Actress Lauren London, 35, is opening up about life after rapper Nipsey Hussle, who was shot and killed in 2019 in front of his Marathon clothing store in Los Angeles.
During Wednesday Red Table Talk with Jada Pinkett Smith, London speaks on her partners legacy and what she is doing to keep his memory alive as well as discuss the trauma of gun violence.
“I love to meet people that Nip has really inspired, cause it feels like he’s still here,” London told the show’s host Jada Pinkett Smith. “It’s like his purpose that was completely outside of any of us… it’s like he’s touching people still.”

London added she appreciates hearing comments from Hussle’s fans describing how the rapper has changed their lives.
“He would have loved to hear that,” she said. “When my kids are there and my kids hear it, they’re proud. Those are always very special moments.”
Since Hussle’s death, the actress has spent time speaking to other teenage girls about their experience with gun violence and sharing how they are dealing with the trauma of losing a love one.
“Trauma feels so lonely and just in talking to them, they gave me so much more than I feel like I gave to them,” London said. “They gave me just their stories and just their rawness, and it made me feel not so alone. It was magical. It was very healing.”

Lauren also opened up about her connection with God and says at time it can be “challenging.”
For me, what’s really been important is connecting with God. And that’s been a struggle, because something horrible happened in your eye, and you’re like, ‘How God?’ ” she said. “It’s not easy. I don’t always wake up on the enlightened side of the bed. And the days I don’t, I let myself, ’cause I’m human. I’m not always gonna feel so, ‘I’m gonna be OK.’ I don’t, and that’s OK too.”
London and Hussle began their relationship in 2013 and share a child together, Kross Asghedom, 3. London is also mother to son Kameron Carter, 10, with rapper Lil Wayne. Hussle has an older daughter Emani Asghedom, 11.
